He absolutely should be allowed to vacation. On his own dime. The man preaches about waste and controling spending. Leaders lead by example. He should try it and see how it works out.

But you're right. What are the chances some disgruntled citizen, upset because their guy lost & now they can't take their kids to Disney for a family vacation would decide to kill him or his family? It's not like any of the other POTUS have ever been shot at before.

I didn't bring up "home", someone else made that statement. I don't believe anyone really thinks Obama's "home" is in Hawaii, especially given the FACT that he and his family lived in Chicago during his tenure in both the state and national legislatures.
Maybe you are the one "quibbling".
As for the security costs being the same for Hawaii and ANY other location,...I'd like to see the verification of the "factoid". I'm certain you have proof of that statement. Surely you wouldn't just expect someone to believe that statement based upon your words....

The right wing nuts keep getting crazy. They tried birthers, teabaggers, accused the President of being a socialist fascist muslim, and now a vacationist.
Isn't it something that the Obamas can take about 4 vacations per year with all the perks, like the mother-in-law attending all of them? When I think about how many family vacations we were able to afford in the 80s and 90s it makes me really feel bad that the Obama girls can go on those luxurious trips and my kids just didn't get to go anywhere.
