After arriving on a U.S. Airways flight from Lexington, Ky., police charged Paul, who lives in Bowling Green, Ky., with three misdemeanors, including consuming beer/wine underage, disorderly conduct and being intoxicated and disruptive.
You usually have to be fairly drunk to get arrested for disorderly conduct. Maybe he can use Ayn Rand's philiosophy as evidence in his defense.
I remember back in the day we'd get caught by the cops and they'd just make us dump our beer or whatever out and be told to go home and don't get caught out the rest of the night. I even had a cop catch me with my fake ID and laugh and give it back to me and tell me to get outta here. How times have changed. Can't even have any fun anymore.
Our cops would take the beer for themselves. If it was some Boones crap they would laugh and make us pour it out.
The real lesson learned is if you cannot hold you booze don't drink.
Especially on a flight. You can be wasted at a bar and act like a buffoon and at worst they'll usually just cut you off or 86 you unless you start a fight or something. Believe me, I know...
On a plane though they tend take loud drunks a little more seriously though.
The funniest thing though I ever saw on plane was pre-9/11 back in the late 90s, when a guy with a cowboy hat got on a flight from Reno to San Jose--already visibly a little drunk, pulled out a six pack of Hamms and just started pounding them--when the flight attendent came over he apologized and said he got really nervous when he flew and was just trying to take the edge off. The flight attendent just asked if he could wait until we landed before he drank the rest of his beer.
They used to give out free drinks on international flights. Not sure if they still do it anymore. Plane full of drunk folks heading out for vacation makes for a good time.

And people used to conduct themselves with more class. They would dress nicely for a flight and have a cocktail or two. Now, it's screaming, fighting and public urination.
