I heard that someone at an unnamed military school actually shot a duck with an M-14 rifle on full auto. There was nothing left but feathers. You can shoot a duck with a military rifle but you can only make a small down filled pillow with the results.

FWIW for the unenlightened: Military rifles are not hunting weapons. They are military weapons. Now considering the 2nd Amendment has a reference to a "Regulated Militia" and a militia is composed of armed citizens not formerly in the Army, it is completely reasonable that individual citizens should have military rifles at home.

All joking aside, the school shooting was a violent act by a violently insane person. I believe even if he did not have any access to his mother’s guns he would have figured out how to inflict as much damage as possible on the people he hated. The kid was crazy not stupid.

The biggest error was leaving a concentrated group of people defenseless. That was and still is unforgivable. Saying we shouldn't have to guard schools is just wishful thinking. We are humans living in a human society. Guarding the innocent is one of our duties.

Drake or Drone?

Drone hunting could become popular, while better justifying the use of assault weapons.

Jesse Jackson might be suggesting that.
