Ore. sheriff says he won't enforce new gun laws - Yahoo! Finance

From someone that has never owned a gun, or fired anything more powerful than a bb gun, good for him!

Sounds reasonable considering all the federal laws that the feds don't enforce (immigration for one).

May be the start of something good and follows the federal lead. Enforce only the laws they like.

Funny how everyone thinks they're a constitutional scholar nowadays. Just what we need more of, cops only enforcing laws that they personally agree with.

Why not? We have a President that does the same thing.

He can refuse to do his job but I bet he'll quickly find himself out of a job if he does.

So you like this idea then? Letting cops make up the rules as they go along, based on what they think the Constitution means? Just like in the South during Reconstruction?

This is the problem with some of the people on this board, they are so deep into their "ideals" that they ignore common sense. How can you not see this as a bad thing regardless of your politics?

Let's talk recent Marijuana and immigration laws ignored by the Feds and States. Might as well do it for guns also.

Is common sense implementing something that we have a 10 year sample size of during 1994 to 2004 which led to no decrease and by some measure an increase in crime?

Common sense is following the constitution, and the kicker is the laws all the liberals want have not only failed in theory but failed in reality.

Your common sense is questionable, if not non-existent.
