by looking at your link I would have thought her gun was taken from her and she was shot. when in fact that did not happen at all. instead in the confusion of her shooting at her attackers, one of the rounds hit her in the ankle.
looks like she did need to have the firearm to protect herself and her family from the hoodlums.
A Union County woman was disarmed and shot with her own gun this afternoon when she reportedly confronted a home intruder, according to authorities
"The victim further stated that the intruder gained control of her firearm, and during the incident the homeowner was shot in the right shoulder," according to a news release from Butcher. "The unidentified suspect reportedly fled the scene."
Maybe the criminal should have obeyed the law.....now there is a thought for ya............
