Yeah, funny how the gun nuts always ignore the "well regulated militia" part of the Amendment.

States' role is rather limited when it comes to the militia. And regardless of the roles defined for active militia (they don't need second amendment), states should take upon the responsibility to regulate sensibly rather than preach deregulation in which case, federal intervention is not unwarranted. This applies to EVERY thing. Articles of Confederation was killed in 1789.
