Bradley Manning Denied Whistleblower Defense. Faces Life in Military Prison under Espionage Act | Global Research
Very dangerous stuff. This is where there needs to be a strong civil liberties push from the right, but for all their railing about freedom they support this.

Most of the reasonable criticism President Obama faces is from the left.

This is a huge problem with allowing the government to keep secrets. They are then able to classify a lot of information as classified. This very problematic. Very little of the activities of the government or the military should be secret. Secrets are ripe for abuse and greatly expands the government's power over the people.

There is also the problem in expanding the power of the executive branch to fight terrorism.

Unlimited detention, wire tapping, being able to kill American citizens without a trial, etc all anti American.

Although Bradly Manning is in the military so my understanding is that the military is different than civilian

HE IS A HUMAN BEING. HE RESPONDED ACCORDINGLY. Take your rosy views of what military people are supposed to represent/feel and shove them up your hairy arse. The entire world already knows that the USA is shady as hell, there is literally nothing any military person could "reveal" that would shock any of us, let's be real. What's the real crime here, huh?

I was in the military and there is a lot of politics to played in there. Like I said earlier, Bradley Manning, just didn't have enough political clout/capital. The End.

He is a traitor, he should be put up against a wall and shot.

We cannot have a military where it's personnel decide whether or not to divulge sensitive information.

The USA pretends to be some model of righteousness for the world, yet the truth trickles out from sources like Bradley Manning that our military is as savage and immoral as anyone else's. It's awful that our country that supposedly values truth would throw the book at a guy for telling us things we ought to know.

Next time we have more twisted military personnel who do brutal disgusting sh1t to people, I guess we'll happily remain ignorant while innocent people suffer in the name of an America that can do no wrong!

So much for freedom of dissent! If you're not going to play for the team and keep your mouth shut, just drop dead, right?
