Yeah Yeah, we get it: Give a man a fish/ Teach a man to fish.

Only your boys are advocating stop funding the free fish, give that money to the huge fishing fleet that is already profitable so that they decimate the fishing grounds, make the boat, line and bait so expensive that only a huge company has the chance to make it profitable, then denigrate the starving guy that is standing there with is hands up in the air with a WTF look on his face.

Actually I'm advocating giving the guy some free fish for a couple days until he's ready to work then putting him on a fishing boat in that fleet. You on the other hand feel that's unfair and wrong.

You do realize the lifetime of free welfare ended to a 5 year maximum and nobody died or had a WTF on their face... Apparently you still don't get it

How about 1.9 trillion on the Iraq war...so far. The number just keeps going up. Yet helping the poorest people in america not become a blight on society, not a valid expenditure. WTF

Actually people probably have died because of that. Namely domestic violence victims who had, prior to leaving their supporting abuser, ran out of time and had to return to him because they lacked another means of support. That is actually a substantial problem.

Is that why Republicans resoundingly want to cut funding for back to work programs?

The costs of the 2003-2010 Iraq War are often contested, as academics and critics have unearthed many hidden costs not represented in official estimates. The most recent major report on these costs come from Brown University in the form of the Costs of War project,[1] which said the total for wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan is at least $3.2-4 trillion

oh whoops, could have paid for a lot of bridges and social programs for that much, i said 1.9 billion early. I stand corrected.
