The key to finding the answer is to first understand who qualifies for and receives Medicaid and other entitlements. If the data shows that more African Americans and Hispanics, as a percentage of population, qualify for and receive handouts, then it's statistically safe to say that more Democrats get "free stuff" as a percentage of the vote.

The data is there. Research it.

Whats your point?

Here's something for you:

"According to the Department of Health and Human Services, in 2009 the TANF rolls were 31.2 percent white, 33.3 percent black, and 28.8 percent Hispanic. " .. so yea, a pretty even distribution for welfare.

Let's start off with some 2012 Presidential election results by race.

Obama took 39% of the white vote, Romney took 59% and whites make up 72% of the US population
Obama took 93% of the black vote, Romney took 6% and blacks make up 13% of the US population
Obama took 71% of the Latino vote, Romney took 27% and Latinos make up 10% of the US population
Obama took 73% of the Asian vote, Romney took 26% and Asians make up 3% of the US population

The 2008 election results were fairly similar to these numbers.

Would you agree that based on recent elections it's fair to say that minorities, especially blacks and Latinos overwhelmingly vote for Democrats over Republicans?
If your point is that blacks and hispanics have a higher rate of people on public assistance, how do you explain the high number of asians who voted for the president? Or the high number of college educated people who voted for obama?

It's even more fair to say that poor people, regardless of race, have been eligible for these "benefits" long before obama was president.

I'm not sure how those 2 different points are exclusive or how education levels are related to this thread. This thread is about people getting "free stuff" like welfare and other social programs paid for with tax dollars.

How much more likely? Is it a significant enough percentage that Republicans vilify and target only blacks as "welfare queens" as the great Reagan did ?

I'm sure there are tons of reasons, social program money in my opinion is at the top of the list. On the opposite side of the same coil any Republican that wants to cut spending on social programs is automatically labeled a racist and a hater of minorities. Doesn't that right there tell you what people care about when they vote?

No, the thread is about dem voters getting freebies. No particular race. But it seems some want to say black and latino dem voters get free stuff.

I don't target anyone as a welfare queen, I'm simply posting facts that prove a point. The OP didn't ask us to qualify what "more" means... we were simply asked a question and we answered it with facts. This is the point in the thread when all communication stops, everyone on the left goes off the rails with fake outrage and they start throwing out insults about KKK websites and claiming that these numbers make conservatives racists. That's when I check out.
