They wonder why there is so much more violence and crime in the UK, then here.

Home and auto burglaries are 5 times high in Britain.

Best possible result. How could the result have been improved if she had an AR-15 and 30 round magazine?
She could have shot all 4 of the intruders multiple times and killed a few of them so that they don't do this to someone else later.

What if these guys didn't run after one shot? What if one or more decided to jump her. In 99.5% of situations, 30 rounds would not be necessary, but I sure as hell feel better about having at least 15 rounds, versus 6 or 7 or 10. Having too many rounds beats the heck out of not enough in a situation like hers.

Wait a minute-- She successfully defended her family. That's the reason many keep firearms. Her objective was met.

What this says to me is that an AR-15 and 30 round magazine is better because it allows you to live out a violent hero fantasy.

So which is it?

Problem is, AR 15's are not used by criminals or mass shooters that often, they prefer handguns and there are people trying to take away her handgun. The focus on AR 15's and similar rifles is just a ruse.

Good for the lady! Sounds like she did what was right. It is funny though, that some people see this as a confirmation of the self appointed ministers of justice that want to run around with the assault weapons clad in spandex NRA suits and capes(available on the website for $99.99 free shipping), touting their high prowess.

It says that to you because you're delusional when it comes to gun topics. Had they been armed or not left the home after she fired a round she would have been much better off holding an AR15 than a pistol.

Fair point. I think the focus on the AR-15 is due to mass casualty shootings, like Newtown. I'm sure you wouldn't be pleased if the focus were on taking away handguns, would you?

Focus on the most deadly weapons seems reasonable.

I don't see why people seem to know "how much gun/magazine capacity is neccesary"

Offhand has anyone who has ever had to defend themselves from a home invasion with a fire arm, agreed with any of the new gun/magazine bans?
