I'd rather make the presidency a 6 year term, representatives a 4 year term, and then set term limits at 1 term. Therefore none of our elected officials would be beholden to any special interests or campaign contributions for re-election since there would be no re-election.

Then repeal the 17th amendment so that the state legislatures elected Senators as the founders intended, so the federal government could no longer ignore the 10th amendment.

Then institute terms for Supreme Court justices so they can't sit there legislating from the bench for decades.

Before Truman, the 2nd Amendment gives the President a term limit if there is not one presently in place.

This is so true. Can you imagine how big it would be if Bush and friends were not allowed to rob the public trust.
