Some seem to think that regulation means you are against whatever you are regulating. Does this hold for cars, alcohol, guns, public television, etc...

Statists would hold that the benevolent central government has our best interest in mind when they pass fascist edicts that circumvent the constitution (e.g. "assault weapon bans"), when in reality they are ceding their liberty to a group of authoritarian elitist central planners that think we cannot take care of ourselves without their enlightened "regulations".
Means they can't handle freedom and want things controlled.Sad indeed.
Or perhaps they want protection from fraud, because it would be difficult to detect fraud for the non-expert.
