One person started the crusade against alcohol and lead to the 18th Amendment. What is stopping you from starting your crusade against guns? If you can have the 2nd Amendment repealed, you won't hear a peep out of me.
I don't have a crusade. It's just me. The amendment won't be repealed. It's about militias. However, the SC will eventually rule differently on a new case with regard to guns, particularly now that the atmosphere is less tolerant of guns for fun and killing.

Because SCOTUS rulings get overturned all the time. You really are in your own little world.

You do have a crusade. You are ignorant, emotional, and self serving in your position. You have fantasies about causation to fit in with that self interested position. You continue to disregard the facts to serve that position and attempt to manipulate the lethargic public with falsehoods in order to establish support.
What people should be afraid of, is you. You pose more danger to a free society than any gun ever could. Your unethical approach to garner support for your subjective belief, your willingness to promote falsehoods for the sake of an ultimate goal of "right" to which you prescribe is a cancer that has led to heinous crimes against humanity.

The SC rules differently on new cases, and do so often based on the character of the country at the time. That, plus the fact that the SC completely ignored and dismissed "MILITIA" in its assessment of the 2nd, and you watch.
As to whether or not they "overturn" cases - they do so, by ruling differently on new cases. If you're unaware of this, I suggest you instruct yourself on the functioning of the Supreme Court by doing some research.
When it happens, do me a favor and go whine privately. Spare us all.

They take precedent from previous rulings.
Anyways, if you are suggesting that the second amendment is the for the formation of a militia and since the militia is a an army of the people then American citizens should own any weapon that an individual soldier would have for the common defense of the homeland. That would include fully automatic rifles, rocket launchers, etc.

If they do go against the Constitution, they should be impeached like any other government official. Article III, Section 1:
Quote:
The judicial Power of the United States shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.
Based on the line I bolded, it is not an appointment for life. The entire Supreme Court that interred American citizens of Japanese heritage should have been impeached and sentenced to a camp just like the one they said was Constitutional for the same number of years that ALL citizens were confined.
You can't just re-interpret the Constitution. It's a pretty simple set of rules that govern us. If by some strange twist, they do rule that firearms are limited to militia members then I guess I'll have to join up - http://www.mississippimilitia.com/ A quick search will show that there are THOUSANDS of these groups.

Oh but I've no doubt you're afraid! That goes with the right wing territory! That's the gas that runs the right wing machinery - fear and terror of anything noble, of anything compassionate, of anything with a conscience.
Right wingers worship at the altar of savagery, theft, authoritarianism, cruelty, corruption, racism, scapegoating, lies and propaganda, all wrapped up in a right wing burrito of "political correctness."
