For a moment, let us assume that his words were 1) not spoken in jest and 2) have any importance outside of that room...

Yes, it was racist. He was speaking to the inherent superiority of one race over another (or over all others in this case). Had he said something to the effect that these awards show that black people have made significant contributions in the entertainment world, that would not have been racist. It also would not have been racist to remark that there are blacks among the most talented people in the world.

Maybe he misspoke, or maybe he truly believes that the average black person is inherently more talented than the average non-black. Even so, he is an entertainer and not responsible for any national policy. As Ron White said, you can't fix stupid.

Typical liberal spin....it is okay when liberals are racist - who cares that union thugs called a black hot dog vendor the N word for selling hot dogs to conservatives...it is the black hot dog vendors fault.

Maybe we should ask the job creators.

Liberals can be racist too. You missed the point of my post.

Racist people exist. The conservative party has many other things to worry about. They should be concerned about racist within the party.

Jamie Foxx is an unadulterated hate filled racist. But then again, who cares what he thinks? He is an idiot.
