Obamacare, Gun restrictions, & illegal immigration are the top 3.

Good! Arizona is an example all states should go by. Maybe Brewer for president in 2016?

Incorporation does not cover the 2nd amendment. This means, that a state has the power concerning it. Since California has no protection for such in their Constitution, they can legislate any restriction they choose. The federal government has no jurisdiction in that matter (other than the ruling by the SC that says they can't ban all weapons outright which is unconstitutional as the SC has no grounds to make such a ruling due to 2nd not being incorporated).

So while I think it is ridiculous that California is doing such, they are within their legal right as a state to do so. The people of California should have been more concerned about amending their state constitution (many states have a form of the 2nd amendment in their constitution that can not be amended) if they were worried about such draconian laws. By the way, they still can. They can do petitions and put a constitutional amendment up to public vote through a Citizen Initiative and bypass their legislature, though... I seriously doubt they will get the people to vote for it as the people of CA are easily manipulated through media propaganda as we have seen with previous laws.

Problem is, a lot of the younger generations have no clue about our government. Most of them don't even realize that the US Bill of Rights was initially never intended for the states. They don't know the history of it, what incorporation was, etc... People are just extremely ignorant of our system and that has allowed numerous changes to our system that creates massive conflicts with itself.

Honestly, the Constitution is worthless. It hasn't been followed to its original protection for over a century now (and even before that). These days it is used only for advantage of a given agenda and disregarded just the same. Our system has become a cruel joke.

I was wrong in the above post, incorporation of the 2nd amendment has occurred. State constitutions are meaningless and they are under the authority of the federal government.

We are so screwed.
