The only thing that can keep the GOP going now is to take a Libertarian approach.
You have got to be kidding. John Boehner has problems with tea party reps now, do you think Boehner will welcome that extremist with open arms? OMG.

:what:
He supports the constitution more than just about every other candidate and you call him "un-American"?

You have done zero research on him, and you are willing to put him into office based only on his speeches. You have ignored the fact that he is an Ayn Rand objectivist, but no longer talks about it. Can you guess why?

Rand Paul: Country Is Ready For A "Libertarian Republican Narrative" | RealClearPolitics

Hope he runs in 2016.
The reason that a Republican will not win the 2016 election is not because of the person that they nominate but the Republican policies...They are not popular!

Rand Paul is even more extreme than the Republican party, and his radical right wing ideas are even less popular. He has no chance.

He opposed the Patriot Act, NDAA, supports the 2A.

And you're thinking of Paul Ryan and Ayn Rand.

No he is not. He's libertarian leaning. Far from radical right wing.

But Randy is as phony a "patriot" as there is. He wants to remake the country into an objectivist libertarian paradise. Most of his lazy-thought supporters, like case in point, have never bothered to check and digest the libertarian platform, which is as vague as the Tea Party Patriots'.
I'll post it here, but I would venture that most Rand disciples won't bother to either read it or decode it.
Platform | Libertarian Party
I have read that.
He is not full Libertarian.
As for Objectivist, you're confusing Paul Ryan with Rand Paul.

I thought he said he is a fan of Ayn Rand. Many republicans have expressed admiration for her writings and philosophy. I also thought she was something of a guru to the Tea Party Patriots.
I don't see how she is in any way compatible with traditional conservative values of our past. Seems like an objectivist would totally reform this country into who knows what.

Each party nominates the rain maker, the individual who will do the best job raising mooney for their own campaign and that of their party.
Rand does not have a shot at it.
