Most people will pay far more into their insurance than the insurance will pay out. It's an odds game. Certain conditions increase the liklihood of having to pay out and pay out big.
I suppose you've never had a condition, right? Yes, all you conservatives are the picture of miraculous health.
You do understand the concept of insurance, right?
Would you be able to get a life insurance policy as a terminally ill person?
Would you be able to drive a busted up car to an agency and get insured?
Think like a person with a brain.....forget the leftie talking points. Even eurotrash socialist style "universal" healthcare systems do not insure those with pre-existing conditions.
Negotiating benefits and negotiating what is covered and what is not - two different ballgames.
Of course pre-existing conditions should not be excluded. Say . . you get cancer and lose your job. You find another one but, guess what? They have insurance but won't cover your cancer treatment.
What would you do?
Either way - the taxpayer will foot the bill. Medicaid ain't free, you know.
