Of course they are. Sure, if the show is in the boonies it will be nothing but yokels and rednecks, but those that are in or close to major cities have a completely different demographic.
Like I already mentioned, most thugs get their weapons 100% legally from private sales. All they need to do is open a paper and look online for a private seller or upcoming gunshow, and they've got a gun, no questions asked.

There is absoutly nothing coming from the president to ban assault rifles or high capacity magazines. If he wanted to do that, he would have a long time ago.
