Birthers: When we hear the word birther, the names Orly Taitz and Sheriff Joe come immediately to mind. We see threads about them all the time on CD. Most often with the work BREAKING NEWS in their thread titles. According to wikipedia, the claims began as "anonymous" emails sent from the Hillary Clinton camp during the 2008 election. The movement grew legs after that, and took on a life of it's own.

What motivates the birther? Why the tenacity? does it have anything at all to do with the Consitution, or is there an ulterior motive here?

I put that question to you, CD posters. What do you think motivates the birther?

What motivates the "birther" is a desire for the truth.

They don`t like the man`s looks. They would rather see him shining shoes at the Greyhound Station.

You and me are vets, and we both know about this type of hoopla. We both have had training in rumors and propaganda, and we both know how detrimental both can be.

Since it may have started within the Clinton camp, one can only imagine that the ploy was an attempt to throw water onto the Obama campaign.

The conservatives or far right seized upon this opportunity in an attempt to denigrate and discredit anything this president does. And, they're still carrying the torch.
I was blissfully ignorant of the TEA PARTY during Bush's tenure, and had only heard of the movement just before the 2010 midterms.

I'm not sure where this guy got his material from, perhaps the tea party itself?

The truth has been handed to them more than once. They just don't accept that it's over.

And ignoring it, no matter how many times it's been provided.

Bias poll, much? Sycophants love the antiChrist so much they won't add options to these poles like 5) Barry's sealed records when he flip flopped between Soetoro and Obama. 6)Federal courts dismiss addressing these questions 7) Nothing on the federal level as been challenged as all cases been dismissed. Plenty of name calling for those asking the truth as being called a "birther" or "tin foil hat" type. We are not Kacynski's out for violence, we are just intelligent folk asking for a solid answer for closure. Is the Earth flat? If enough believed at one time, but doesn't make it true.

Presented so far are a few lousy Photoshoped birth certificates (second one after the first was torn apart) and a Honolulu three line announcement is all that is given. None of the relitives that swear Barry was born in Kenya have been asked to speak, nor has his trips to Pakistan been questioned etc etc...
