Quote:
“The sequester is not something that I've proposed. It is something that Congress has proposed.”
— President Obama, in the third presidential debate, Oct. 22, 2012
It's his. He OWNS it. Nothing he can say or do will ever change the fact that the negative effects of the sequestration across all aspects of the American fiscal landscape will in fact be the fault of Barack Hussein Obama, who proposed the sequestration in the first place.

Quote:
In sum: Gene Sperling brought up the idea of a sequester, while Jack Lew sold Harry Reid on the idea and then decided to use the Gramm-Hollings-Rudman language (which he knew from his days of working for Tip O’Neill) as a template for sequester. The proposal was so unusual for Republicans that staffers had to work through the night to understand it.

This prompted Woodward to go over his notes and interviews once again, to make sure he had gotten it right. “After reviewing all the interviews and the extensive material I have on this issue, it looks like President Obama told a whopper,” Woodward said. “Based on what Jack Lew said in Florida today, I have asked the White House to correct the record.”

We had been wavering between Three and Four Pinocchios. But in light’s of Lew’s decision to doubledown on Obama’s claim, we agree it’s a whopper.
Obama’s fanciful claim that Congress ‘proposed’ the sequester - The Washington Post

Quote:
President Barack Obama’s sequester strategy is all about one word: shame.

With the parties at an impasse on stopping across-the-board budget cuts set to hit March 1, the White House is prepping another multimedia, cross-country drive to stoke public outrage against congressional Republicans.

His lies. His obtusity. His relentless campaigning to try to pin the blame on House Republicans will NEVER erase this stain on society. This is Barack Obama's mess, and his legacy hinges on the outcome.

Liberals and Democrats must be very proud of their omniscient leader!

Doesn't matter. The Obama propaganda machine is in full force, coupled with the help of the media, to put the entire blame on Republicans. It is a brilliant move if it wasn't so sad that it depends on the fact that Americans generally are uninformed and ignorant.

Obama is trying to avoid the sequestration cuts. Republicans would rather destroy the economy than work with Obama to avoid it.

There will be no blame. The doom and gloom is not going to happen and people will soon forget about the whole thing.

It's why they are all on vacation.

Fact: he put forward the sequestration details. Fact: it is Obama who is refusing to work with the GOP, instead choosing to go around, spewing his typical lies.

Sequestration is the best thing to come out of DC in a long time. Lets not give the whiner credit.

The GOP owns it. Obama has his hand on the cord, ready to give the chainsaw a yank to fire up and bring the massive cuts, but the GOP idiots as usual are refusing to let him do so as they don't want to give up a penny of the outrageous spending to their corporate cronies.

If the sequester happens, it will be all on the GOP.
