There is zero social stigma with being a net leech today so we have millions of net leeches.
While I might agree with you on a philosophical level, the tax code that allows you to acheive a negative tax rate was put into place by Reagan and praised by Bush and leading economists.

President Ronald Reagan called the EITC “the best antipoverty, the best pro-family, the best job creation measure to come out of Congress.”

If you want to hate on the poor, fine... I can't in good conscious do the same.

You can't refund what you never made, this is straight from the IRS site itself

Based on the information you provided, you are not eligible to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit because...
  • You did not have earned income

conservatives continue to hate poor people. I don't know why poor people and their tax returns anger conservatives?
Oh yes I do because for conservatives, the idea of some poor minority single mom getting government benefits is an injustice. conservatives want the government to enact policies to punish those women and poor people in general.

For conservatives, poor people are the problem, and programs to help poor people are the problem.

This is sick.
You have no clue. Theres built in credits in the tax program that pay out for those regardless of taxes paid. Such as early child tax credit. Theres many more.

It was expanded under Clinton. Bush doubled down on the child tax credit. And Obama had the chance to end it but made sure it stayed.

LOL, if you don't earn an income, a person cannot file a tax return. If you don't understand that, then you know nothing.

But I am not surprised.

This is the reality:
Quote:
"In summary, for tax year 2009, approximately 22 percent of all tax units, including filers and non filers, will have zero income tax liability, approximately 30% will receive a refundable credit, and approximately 49% will have a positive income tax liability."
http://finance.senate.gov/newsroom/r...1-ffc00b5c00ef

Also interesting to note that only 49% paid any federal income tax whatsoever.

The very first line of the OP is "Why should anyone who does not work...". If you don't work, you don't get EITC.
