My wife is an extremely successful, educated and brilliant woman.
Never had a smart phone.
My 26 year old son is also very successful.
STILL doesn't have a smart phone.
I need mine specifically because I always need to be reached by email, text, fax or business phone. I also have reports which need to be checked frequently.
BTW....I have two....one from work and a personal one.

Didn't you get the memo? Smart phones make dumb people smart. Why do you think so many people lineup every 9 months for then next reiteration of the exact same iPhone?
Actually I am in favor of doing what you said in your first sentence. I think that as long as there aren't enough people that would volunteer to do that, it might be time to make it law and not an option. Nobody is robbing me of anything. If I give it is because I want to give. Someday you will also give because I want you to give. With every passing day there are more people who think like me than there are people who think like you. You are going to give until you have virtually nothing left to give. Then you will know what it means to have less than you think you deserve. The time is coming faster than you think. I am only trying to help to settle the score before it has to come to that. This is what makes me right.
