Seems like if they need to ban something they should look at other stats.

Well, when a person is already sick, and mistakes are made... But I don't think doctors show up at a patient's bedside and say, "Hmmm.. Let me write a prescription that will KILL this patient! Yeah!"

By the way, did you notice that the pro-life movement is only interested in malpractice with regard to 1 very specialized type of doctor, not all doctors? Just thought you might be interested.

Either way that person is killed at the hands of another.

If we are talking about over prescribing medication, then yes, the doctors should be prosecuted. There are "pain treatment centers", which are nothing more than legal drug pushers who prescribe 300 oxycodone pills at one time. Should they be shut down, absolutely.

So if you accidentally kill someone on the road because you made a mistake, should you be hanged in the public square while everyone applauds your hanging?

Now let's compare the number of lives saved by doctors with the number of lives saved by guns.

Can we get over this whole "hey, a fork killed someone, should we ban forks?" It's old & juvenile.

You have to admit, they're nothing if not persistent. Kind of like hungry cockroaches.

I am a bit disappointed that we didn't hear something to the effect of, "Should we ban sinkholes?" a couple days ago.
