Funny you should mention it. I'm listening to Tom Sullivan on Fox this afternoon. He is pointing out that in Feb 2012 the number was 271,000

Sullivan's point is that it is the year to year comparison that offers the best insight. His point is that comparing 2013 to 2012 month to month the 2013 numbers are way lower.

He also reminds us that back in 2009, at the time of the stimulus debates, the Administration was predicting that by this time (2013) we would have 5.5% unemployment. Yet another optimistic prediction, made with no basis in face yet swallowed hook line and sinker by the Obamabots. Betcha we will never hear the bots admit that Obama has been wrong time after time.

Jobs Numbers: The Truth - Articles - The Sean Hannity Show

- According to CNSNews, the number of Americans designated as "not in the labor force" in February was 89,304,000, a record high, up from 89,008,000 in January, according to the Department of Labor. This means that the number of Americans not in the labor force increased 296,000 between January and February. The fact is that the labor participation rate in our country remains at a record low 63.5%. Just to put that into perspective, when Barack Obama took office, the labor participation rate was 65.7%.

I would have never thought Libs would be so happy about low paying jobs lol. Good job Obama, I can now keep my employee pay rates down and they will be thrilled about it too lol.

It is good news, but still worrisome indicators:

-We need 150,000 new jobs a month keep up with population growth.

-10,000 people a day are still joining government assistance programs, 129 Million people total. Neither party seems set on a long-term solution to Social Security, Medicare, etc...

-We still have less people with a job than in 2008 and less full time people with a job.

-The new jobs created are averaging 70% of the compensation of the jobs lost, which is why household income continues to shrink during the recovery.

So we just allow the media to lie and say we are better off now then we were in 2009?

The US poverty level is the highest it's been in 50 years, is this good news too?

The DOW Jones is not so high once you adjust for inflation.

I think that 150,000 number is the low end, and we need 300,000 a month if we want to see even a little growth, I'd rather see 500k a month, which is what we should have been doing years ago.

I'm afraid Republicans get upset when ever they see good economic news as they're emotionally invested in the country failing. Remember that next time they claim to be patriotic.

When A Good Jobs Report Is Bad For Political Spin : It's All Politics : NPR

A great article from NPR. When good jobs numbers are bad for political spin which explains why Republicans are so upset that the economy is doing well. BTW the unemployment rate is now lower than when Bush left office and it should be remembered that Bush saw fewer jobs in the country over his 8 years in office then when he got into office. Bush was the first president since Herbert Hoover to have a net lose in jobs from the beginning to the end of his Presidency.

Republican policies are failed policies and I, for one, am getting tired of them trying to sabotage the economy by blocking recovery efforts. Republicans love to play politics instead of doing what is best for America and their obstructionism prevents the people's business from getting done. Republicans have just become an anti-American party actually trying to make the country condition worse in hopes they can blame it on Obama. You can see how they root against America and try to undermine the nation in the dozens of threads they make here each day and the right wing blogosphere is ripe with anti-Americanism.

Tell that to the 300k that quit looking for work. My issue with you moonbats is that you act as if Obama saved us when that is far from the truth. He has deepened the problem and proped it up with fake money.

Those aren't good numbers, those are average numbers during a good economy during what economists call "full employment" when few jobs are being created.

We just had 0% GDP growth for two quarters in a row, these numbers are terrible, and these jobs numbers are terrible for an economy like ours.

I don't know how you would decide all wrokers not work should be shown on unemployemnt rolls when mnay are not workig by chopcie either fro not wantig to or not willig to work for what employemnt they can get or quailfied for.Afterall when low it;s amde up from same stats.Of xcourse like the 70's ifferent people in different regions will personally see it has worse or better tha others. i lived i a region that unmeployemtn never got back to the previous levels because mnay of the jobs never return in the predoinate inductry.Changes come with companies has they need to cut cost and often its thru modrenizatio that requries less cost of labor.
