Okay, I will tell you with a straight face that Obama has deepened the problem. The jobs we have created are worse jobs than the ones we lost while the amount of money that we have spent to create these jobs is stratospheric.

We have more jobs 4 years later than we had in the depths of the recession, therefore, yay Obama did great? That sort of simplistic analysis is what you shouldn't be able to say with a straight face.

BTW, stop with this **** about "NOT REAL UNEMPLOYMENT HOW COULD THEY LIE ABOUT IT" bull****. The U3 is THE official employment rate as has been prior to Obama coming into office. Stop pretending everything is so unprecedented and outrageous. There's absolutely, positively nothing new about measuring using the U3 rate...
Not that it's right or wrong but that we've always done it this way. The earth is flat. Nothing to see here mundane move along, do as you're told.

Jobs Numbers: The Truth - Articles - The Sean Hannity Show

- According to CNSNews, the number of Americans designated as "not in the labor force" in February was 89,304,000, a record high, up from 89,008,000 in January, according to the Department of Labor. This means that the number of Americans not in the labor force increased 296,000 between January and February. The fact is that the labor participation rate in our country remains at a record low 63.5%. Just to put that into perspective, when Barack Obama took office, the labor participation rate was 65.7%.
So how many of those no longer in the work force were at or near the typical age of retirement?

The article mentions that U6 unemployment number, but it doesn't mention that the U6 number trend line is decreasing. It doesn't mention that the high in the U6 number occurred 9 months into Obama's presidency. Its decreased from 17.1 to 14.3. In January 09 it was 14.2.

There is nothing false about the numbers being produced by the "current regime." About the only worthwhile statement in the linked article was: "the unemployment rate dropping to 7.7% and 236,000 jobs added in February. But that isn't really the whole story, is it?"

No single number or measurement is the whole story. You don't like the U3 unemployment number, fine then look at the broader U6 number. It also shows an improving employment situation.

BTW: How can you fault the numbers being produced by the "current regime" on one hand and use the numbers produced by the "current regime" to form your perspective on the current economic conditions.

The DOW Jones is not so high once you adjust for inflation.

Off the Charts: A Dow Record, if You Ignore Inflation
So you think a valid comparison is against a bubble induced DOW High?

It's hard to tell what's happening anymore. We do have an ever aging workforce, and many are slowly entering retirement. At the same time, libs are slow to acknowledge that wages/benefits ain't what they used to be, growth has been minimal, and America just isn't looking like the shining beacon of hope any more. Hope and change seems to be nothing more than empty promises wrapped in communist tenancies.

Another thread that tries to blame Obama for businesses not hiring, while excusing businesses for not hiring...

The truth is that despite record-setting GOP obstruction, the economy continues to recover a little bit every month. And you Obama-haters hate that, too.

Well, when you note that in 2009 thru 2011, 100% of new income went to the top 1%, I know they have been trying but, you kind of wonder just how effective the Obama Admin has been. Congress could have done a lot better even with the Repub obstruction. There are a lot of "favors" being provided by the Dems as well.

Recent facts have not been kind to the political right, so shills like Hannity have to come up with a different metric to show that good news is really bad news -- because the political right can't tolerate having any good news under Obama's watch.

So, a better-than-expected jobs report must be undermined by throw a bunch of bogus numbers at the issues, in the hope that the discussion becomes confused.

Instead of using the official benchmark, let's us U6, that's a bigger number, without giving historical reference of U6. Then, let's use labor participation -- never-mind that the baby-boomers are leaving the workforce in droves and rightly shouldn't be considered unemployed. When all else fails, claim that the BLS's numbers were cooked.

The real story here is that the hard right has a fanatical obsession to make President Obama look bad and anyway to do that is fine with them.

So, let's look at U6. Even U6 is lower than what Obama inherited from Bush:
