Changing one's mind is not a crime nor a fault, it is a sign of intellect. Mr. Obama's position was obviously changed by the debate that followed in subsequent years. Economists will report that running deficits during an economic slowdown is not a bad thing. Forming policies that mirror what economists advise is commendable.

Changing one's mind is something foreign to the right-wing, who are not persuaded by subsequent facts. When faced with contrary evidence, they respond by doubling down on stupid.

No. Changing one's mind is what it's called by libs when libs do it. When a conservative does it, it's called flip flopping.

I choose to call it a double standard.

The GOP invented the term. From wiki:

The term also was used extensively in the 2004 U.S. presidential election campaign. It was used by critics as a catch-phrase attack on John Kerry, claiming he was "flip-flopping" his stance on several issues, including the ongoing war in Iraq. Famously, on March 16, 2004, during an appearance at Marshall University Kerry tried to explain his vote for an $87 billion supplemental appropriation for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan by telling the crowd, "I actually did vote for the $87 billion, before I voted against it." After the remark became controversial, he explained that he had supported an earlier Democratic measure that would have paid for the $87 billion in war funding by reducing Bush's tax cuts.[5]

Hypocrisy at it's best!!

I suppose it is only ok for a leftie to change his/her mind.

Countless times republicans have demonized from the left for changing their minds - countless! And in before you try to deflect....no, I am not going to provide links as this is an almost every day happening and we all know it.

Wow, you really made me laugh with that "changing his mind" comment.

Exactly!!!!

The hypocrisy from the left is disgusting. Especially now that the lame stream media is starting to turn a little on their boy wonder. The die hard lefts are becoming blind, death, and rabid.

This is the reality of the situation that President Obama inherited.

The budget deficits are shrinking, the economy is slowly improving, job growth is slowly improving.
