I want to hope the Republican party is so much more than that Last clip. I want the Republican party reclaim what was given to them and move this country forward. The current President or any opposition President should not be your answer to why you have not led this Nation.
It is now the American Corporate Party. A true republic has a citizen's representative government, but today's "republican" party sees the ideal government as a corporate board making decisions for the "good" of all. This corporate board presumably has the wisdom, business sense, and money to perpetuate unregulated trickle-down economics which BTW caused our present-day problems, but which they steadfastly believe in - basically the "wealthy and wise job creators" running things.
Just look at their budget proposals - shrinking government services, privatization, reducing revenues, more money funnelled to the wealthy coupled with austerity on the lower classes - your basic trickle-down ideology already proven a failure, but which they yearn to expand.
Your first video - an object of ridicule in corporate boardrooms, the second - one of their "useful idiots" (also the tea party's original function).
Lincoln?? Traditional?? Nope, it's a strange new mix of corporatists and libertarian teabaggers with some natural ideological differences presently causing a measure of friction and dysfunction.
