Maybe this is why they decided to change "Global Warming" to "Climate Change".

Winter Storm Virgil Targets Mid-Atlantic Monday - weather.com

As any grade school kid know, the earth's climate has been changing forever.

So here is an interesting stat:

Number of US States who set or tied their record HIGH temp in the past 18 years: TWO

Number of US States who set or tied their record LOW temp in the past 18 years: SEVEN

Just food for thought.

You are talking about weather patterns, not global warming.

Food for thought.

Trade winds and ocean currents, if they bring warmth up north, then that is proof of man-made global warming to these AGW enthusiasts.

What's their shtick?

Too much snow, is proof of man-made global warming.
Too little snow, is proof of man-made global warming.
To hot, is proof of man-made global warming.
Too cold, is proof of man-made global warming.
Too rainy, is proof of man-made global warming.
Too dry, is proof of man-made global warming.
Sky is blue, is proof of man-made global warming.

It is unscientific and insppropriate to take short-term weather variations as indicatorsof climate change - regardless of which side does it. Two wrongs don't usually equat to a "right" (although three lefts make a right).

Yes.............. the "weather patterns" explanation!

I like it best when the proponants of "global warming" say that it can cause "global cooling" as well. It is hilarious. Al Gore is the P.T. Barnum of our time and has been made a multi-millionaire by those who believed this incredible ruse. The funny thing is that those who believe in "global warming" have been duped to believe that they are on the side of "science", when in fact, the concept of "global warming" is, at best, an unproven, speculative hypothesis which is disputed by the fossil record.

Isn't that all this is, is weather? You peer at the thermometer, and depending on the weather in your area for that given day, determines what the thermometer indicates.

NOAA: 2012 broke U.S. heat records - CNN.com

A good article if you really care about this topic. Though I would like to see where the OP got his numbers for the highs and lows record breaks.

No one is saying that winter won't exist with the planet warming. But you keep living in your bubble thinking you have no effect on the world.

Or maybe it's been "climate change" since at least the 1980s, when the IPCC (hint, look up what the acronym stands for) was formed.

Choosing to live in total ignorance (driven by a media that purposely misinforms at worst and is simply incompetent at best) does not change reality. It doesn't make you look smart, except to other people who also don't have a clue what they're talking about.

For what it's worth, many people who do accept reality also deserve a good slap to the head for constantly trotting out short term high temperatures in single cities and using that to argue for global climate change.

"Global warming" is all in your head.

Try using an ice pack.
