Apathy my friend. The majority of Americans just don't care and Congress knows it all too well.
Congress serves those who can serve them best with campaign contributions and a future position in their company and special consideration for family members.

There's a petition circulating the net about this and only 250K signed it.

Meanwhile liberals are so wound out about getting a piece of paper for gay folks from the state they don't even see what is going on like usual. When they find out they will blame Bush of course. Although Obama is going on his gun tour again and they conveniently release the "arsenal" from sandy hook to the media to get the froth going they won't ever know what is going on. Immigration frothing on deck the week after. Never let a made up crisis go to waste says Monsanto and Obama as they laugh at the useful idiots once again.

Bush screwed up the financial system and the economy; he doesn't have anything to do with this bill.

Not having anything to do with it hasn't stopped the BDS folks from blaming Bush on any and every issue. It will happen here at some point. You will probably lead the charge.

But look at who pushed the damned thing -- a Missouri Republican. This makes Democrats look inept, sure, but it makes Republicans look evil.

I'm not saying you had any credibility to begin with, don't get me wrong -- but you're squarely in negative territory if you think the blame lies solely on the president.

And how whacked out do you have to be to mention that blame lies on both sides yet you use "evil" to describe only one side?

Making excuses seems to be even less offensive to you.
