Then who could forget the Korean store owners during the Rodney Ming riots who used many guns, including an ar15 to protect themselves and their store.

A "30 round clip" would be a pretty poor defensive weapon. What are you going to do with a skinny little piece of sheet metal? (assuming there are any 30 round ones...most clips I'm familiar with hold 5, 8 or 10 rounds).
Do you perhaps have firearms with 30 round magazines in mind?
