I was in a restaurant about a week after Obama and his family were there.
I specifically asked the owner and the waitstaff how they were treated. They said that the President and his family could not have been nicer. They mentioned the girls both said "please" and "thank you" a lot and the President cleaned his plate and complimented the cooks.
First hand account of my interview with the working people of Macayo's Mexican Restaurant about Obama. You're welcome.
The 47% remark never should have been demonized. It's true. Everyone in the 53% should be united in outrage that they are overtaxed while the other half of working Americans pay no federal income tax at all. BTW, many in the 47% earn higher incomes than many who are in the 53%.
At that infamous $50,000 a plate dinner when Romney made his condescending remarks about the 47%, he also made condescending remarks to the waitstaff. This is what prompted the bartender to release that video.

When it first came out I truly wondered what the fuss was about since it was true.
Yep. The one downtown by the Heard. The secret service gave them 20 minutes notice and they brought the First Family (and Grandma) in through the back.
Which part is rude, untrue and condescending? Sorry, I see he used the dirty word "personal responsibility." Romney is such a dirty bag, isn't he? How dare he talk about personal responsibility?
Romney told donors that 47 percent of voters would chose Obama “no matter what” because they are people “who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. … These are people who pay no income tax.
“My job is not to worry about those people,” Romney said. “I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”
And you don't see how that is offensive? Hey, Republicans, keep it up. Keep speeding up your demise.

Romney was referring to these 47% in a condescending manner. Not too bright as, according to your post, some of those in this 47% category, could have been in his audience.
I actually have no problem with what Romney said. I just wish he would have the common sense not to say it out loud. I agree with him.
God bless, Romney. No truer words were ever spoken. His only mistake is that in addition to the 47% there is another 4% with a vested interest in "The ends justify the means", bringing their total to 51%.
