In 1776 the average man in colonial America could own the same gun that a soldier in the army carried.
What has changed between then and now that don't have that right? It seems to be clearly spelled out in the 2nd Ammendment.
Keep in mind too, that in the only case to directly address the 2nd amendment (US v. Miller), the Supreme Court ruled that the reason Miller's shotgun was NOT protected by the 2nd amendment, was because it was NOT similar to weapons used in the military!
So the liberals with their incessant "assault weapons bans" are repeatedly violating, not just the 2nd amendment, but also the Supreme Court's clear ruling.
I don't think any reasonable person wants to deny you the ability to have a weapon or weapons in your home to defend your family if need be.
I think you're wrong. By trying to ban certain guns they great;y reduce the ability of some people to defend themselves. People of limited physical strength have fewer options for effective gun choices.
Didn't Adam Lanza's mother have a bunch of guns to protect her?
And your point is?
