I wasn't trying to do a comparison. I simply provided the facts on who gets more SNAP. Now for TANF, the numbers are about the same.

Where the heck you got your data (a source that seems fishy) to me is mind boggling. You'll come here and try to pass it off as fact.

It is well known and established part of American History that Whites have always and continue to be the largest part of the US population to receive AID. This is historical!

As you were.....

Those "facts" are presented out of context, and are deliberately meant to deceive people like you who don't understand that Whites are under-represented as a percentage of SNAP recipients and Blacks are over-represented by nearly a factor of 2.

I already posted the stats. What about them do you not understand?

SNAP recipient households:

White, not Hispanic population: 62.6%
White, not Hispanic SNAP households: 40.2%

Black population: 13.2%
Black SNAP households: 25.7%

You're using them out of context. Someone is using you as a tool, and you're foolishly letting them do so.

Again, what do you not understand about the following regarding SNAP recipient households:

White, not Hispanic U.S. population: 62.6%
White, not Hispanic SNAP households: 40.2%

Black U.S. population: 13.2%
Black SNAP households: 25.7%

Anyone else want to chime in and explain to ErnieG why his assertions are incorrect? And why he doesn't understand that Whites are getting less than their fair share of SNAP and that Blacks are getting nearly twice their fair share of SNAP, population-wise?

You want me to take sources directly from government agencies to believe that what YOU provided is true about the stats? You, someone I don't know over the establishment (White) which says WHITES get more in SNAP AID than others?

I'm well versed and graduate degree holder. You insult my intelligence by not using credible sources from which to first 1. develop a hypothesis; and get mad at someone who tells you your qualitative data is bunk?

Done....

Take a wild guess why Whites would be the most recipients of SNAP. Hint: has something to do with population percentages.

Now, compare population percentages with SNAP recipient percentages:

White, not Hispanic U.S. population: 62.6%
White, not Hispanic SNAP households: 40.2%

Black U.S. population: 13.2%
Black SNAP households: 25.7%

USA QuickFacts from the US Census Bureau

http://www.fns.usda.gov/sites/default/files/ops/Characteristics2013.pdf

Can you honestly not yet identify the flaw in your logic?

Now THAT'S downright scary. WHICH institution/s granted your degrees? They should lose their accreditation.

Let me make it more clear and easier for you to understand, what with your graduate degree and all.

White, not Hispanics are 62.6% of the U.S. population but only 40.2% of all SNAP households.

Blacks are 13.2% of the U.S. population but are 25.7% of all SNAP households.

Do you get it yet Mr. well-versed graduate degree?
