Considering what liberalism means on this forum, and what it's actual real definition in the dictionary is, I'd say the pastor was just doing his job in all the right ways.

Def: progressive, broad-minded, unprejudiced, beneficent, charitable, openhanded, munificent

Edit:
Also, in case some of you are puzzled:
Def of dictionary: a book giving information on particular subjects or on a particular class of words, names, or facts, usually arranged alphabetically
:P

Jesus was not political.. do you really think that Jesus would take from one forcefully to give to another.. this is wrong in the eyes of God.. it is the free will to give that gets one into the Kingdom of God.. not redistribution of wealth.. greed is a sin and many democrats as well as republicans are greedy. It is the world that is greedy. Fraud is everywhere today.

Do you really think that Jesus would preach to make same sex marriage legal? God said it is an abomination.

Those who are greedy will pay and the last will be first and the first will be last .. the poor who struggle and are in God's kingdom will have many rewards in the kindom of God... And those who are greedy and take from the poor will get their just reward.

He didn't say anything about building a church either but in about 1600 years the church has grown so much that they control more wealth and real property than any other entity in the world except the governments.

If Jesus wasn't political, then why are you guys always trying to inject him into modern day politics?

Remember the widows mite. She was poor and gave a mite and Jesus said she gave more than all the rich because of her needs, and she was truly poor.. those that just take and do not give what little they have with a giving heart of humbleness will also be looked upon by Jesus. Those that support takers only and only want to stay a taker will be judged.. those that have a giving heart will of course be looked upon with favor from God especially the poor.

Widow's Mites of Mark 12-41
Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow put more into the treasury than all the others. For all of them have contributed out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on." (Mark 12:41)

The true Church of God are his people..not a building . The temple of God is his people where the Holy Spirit lives in them.

Well, you're not running the show! The law disagrees with you.

Oh, I don't know. Some people do go to church to hear about. . . religion. If I want to go to a lecture about global warming, I'll find someone competent to speak about it. Not that a pastor can't have an opinion, mind you.

Before some of you get up in arms, yes, I do "believe" in AGW.

Because the government is promoting sin through social issues. The church has a right to speak out against it. If they did not promote it then they would not hear from Christians. The government will be dictating immorality to the masses through special interest groups.

That's just the point: The environment is religion. No habitable living space; no religion; eh?
