Eastchester has banned fast food restaurants. These snobs say "that's just not who we are". The funny thing about this is they have no idea how the rest of the world will look at them and laugh...at them, not with them.

They have every right to ban whatever business they want. We have every right to avoid these foolish snobs.

Does the rest of the world live in Eastchester? If not, why would the people there care what they think? As long as the residents are good with it, I'm not sure why it's an issue. If the residents don't like it, then they need to show up at the next city council meeting and make a stink.

They worked or inherited very hard to be wealthy enough to ban fast food dispensers and their clientele. Exclusivity is, besides political power, the most important thing that money can buy. The denizens of this town simply do not want untermensch on the streets.

OP - to answer your question I suggest "other rich idiots".

We have a town near me that banned Fast Food and I really do understand it. They want to protect their local restaurants and the unique character of the town that brings in a lot of tourists. They did not have ANY local resistance to their change in the law to keep Fast Food out.

F#$% Eastchester. If they want to be asses let em be. I would not live in NY anywhere. I don't need some snob or elitist telling me what guns I can or can't have or what I can or can't eat.

Unless you live there, why should you care? Seriously?

Move on and worry about stuff that really matters.

Yes, they have every right to do this. I just would not want to live around such snobs and I almost never go to fast food outlets.

If an entire community decides something they all agree on, who are you to tell them how to live?

They aren't telling you how to live, or what to have in your community.

Why do people think that freedom is no one telling them what to do, but they can go around forcing their beliefs on others?

Hey I agree. I can't stand snobby a-holes either, but it is their town. Think of it this way. Free market.

I don't care. I just think it is newsworthy and a pitiful display of snobbery.
