What alternative could there have been?
And the reason why it's women who are getting fined, is because they have complete control over reproduction, a man's involvement stops as soon as he ejaculates. Given modern contraceptives and the option of an abortion it cannot be anyone else's fault.
Further more, consider for a moment the consequences of a having a child out of wedlock in a country like China. No man would want to marry said woman given she already has met the 1 child limit / the social taboo and given that to my knowledge state welfare is also not available she would struggle to support it anyway. China, it could be argued is saving itself from long term social problems.
Who the heck wants to live in China? Not me. They have their own social problems to deal with. China is not the country I'd want to emulate here.

One flaw in your observance...Those kids or thier single parent didnt vote themselves free lunch. Someone OKed the lunches.

If free lunches is causing america's downfall, how bout trading one F-35 non-working fighter jet for each state to fund free lunches? [$500 million per plane]

The whole of the f-35 program is projected to cost...1000 billion [1 T] dollars for the next 50 years. One program.

yeah, them damn kids are costly.

All the talk about single moms, So sad... Why do we have so many single moms?????? Men play a huge part in it. Not paying child support running out of the child s life. Lets teach girls and boys safe sex and work ethics. ANd maybe just maybe the future can look better but commmme on don't just blame the freaking women.. really!

It's all a scam and it will NEVER change unless there is a will by both parties to cold and hard
cut-off all Baby Momma Bennies.

Piecemeal change is meaningless and really does not change anything.

So the reality is, the Fedgov will continue to encourage broke-a** women to pull-off this scam by getting preggers and scooping up the BMB's...................NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

Breeding poverty keeps many politicians in office!!!!!!!
