This is not really the truth. The military uses slayer music to destablize enemy combatants.
Also, it's a fact that thousands of angry neighbors have been forced to listen to Slayer coming from the neighbor's house.
Also, how about the millions of parents who have had to listen to it? I know mine weren't enjoying it.
All very true, and all three points hold true in regards to just about any hardcore metal band as well. Personally, I think they should torture terrorists by making them listen to Bieber, Lady Gag Gag, or LMFAO all day.
Slayer is a pretty good band but they have weird songs in their library that deal with Nazis and Jihadists. I actually enjoy Slayer butthere are many people who may not be interested.
agreed with the first, and i'm beyond a masters at this point on the second..
Another fan with no criminal record and a MBA. In fact, I stand out in the crowd (literally) at most concerts I attend. I'm older than most, no tattoos and I'm usually dressed like I am today in a Polo shirt and khaki shorts.
Slayer is my least favorite of the Big 4 (Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax & Slayer for the uninformed) but I still appreciate their music and their contribution to metal.
I don't think anybody will shed a tear if WBC members get messed up.
I don't advocate violence against any group no matter how vile their message is.
I think it was Jackson, MS where the locals found out where they were staying and organized a way to stop them. When the "church" members left their hotel they found their cars blocked in. They called the police who called tow trucks. The tow trucks got there a few minutes AFTER the funeral was over.
What is your definition of "a significant percentage", and is there a link you can back that up with? I'm actually really curious.
I will agree though that they have an extremely dedicated fan base.
It's a joke about how skeevy Slayer fans are (or were anyway). Lighten up a little, chief.
Seriously, though, if you ever saw them back in the 80s/early 90s, the pit at Slayer shows were legit scary places to be.
