Private Manhattan elementary schools' fury over parents who send hired help to do their duties (private school, rating)

It is very frustrating, as an involved father, to read about parents who just could care less; especially the ones who have all the money and time in the world to be as involved as possible.
These stay at home gold diggers- sorry I mean moms are just insidious to claim they have no time.
My wife is a nurse who works 10-20 hours overtime per week and has plenty of time to see her daughter is progressing through school.
Parents should not be required to associate with anyone. It sounds like these events are geared more towards getting parents involved and not the kids.
Well, just kick the kids out of the private school. As a private school they can put any requirement on attendance they wish and since it is so competitive to get kids into the right private school, especially in NYC, I'm willing to bet the parents will make time simply because they don't want to lose social standing by not having their kids go to the right school while other people in their social circles do.
