After watching that last video on the link above, it reinforces my opinion that Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA) is an anti-American scumbag.

For this one, I am.

The group has massively outspent other 501(c)(4)s on political expenditures in the last two national election cycles, while fielding a tiny staff and offering no discernible social-welfare purpose.

BTW, the IRS said "oppppsss, yea we did it, sorry..."

Why do you agree with that?

As I've already posted, NO political group should get tax free status, liberal, conservative, or otherwise.

You provided a link to something that was possible violating their tax exempt status and you are comparing that to this?

Yes, what happened should never have, but again you said "well they did it also."

Still waiting to see some proof that during a repub president, the IRS withheld tax exempt status from a dem group.....also, where has the IRS apologized for doing something this bad during a repub presidency?

Funny, I provided you proof that you are wrong, and now, just as a normal leftist, you say that's not really what you meant, and nobody should be tax exempt.

Whether or not I agree or disagree with your statement does not matter at this point, what matters is the IRS blatantly singled out "tea party" groups and broke the law, no matter what your opinion is.

If this "investigation" reveals a breach of law, then let the chips fall where they may. The fact is that they've been at this for weeks and don't have anything to show for it other than a lot of hyperpartisan hot air.

No, there are no people waiting, There are overtly political organizations waiting to receive tax exempt status that they shouldn't receive. NO political group should be allowed to go tax free. This whole 501c3/501c4 situation stinks to high heaven and should be discontinued.

But the bozos in congress absolutely won't address this underlying issue, because all they're interested in is slinging political mud and delaying action on issues they'd rather not address, because this asinine political kabuki theater is what they've decided their job is, rather than doing what the public sent them to DC for, which is working on the nation's problems.

But it will be amusing to see all this partisan hubris deflated when these phony "scandals" evaporate like water on a Phoenix sidewalk in midsummer.
"And I see this "scandal" as nothing more than another excuse for the GOP house to act like petulant children to block work on real issues"

Only shows you haven't been following the issue very much.

Some Americans actually believe freedom of speech IS an IMPORTANT issue.
And NO gov't agency, especially the IRS should be intimating its citizens for their political and religious beliefs.

"No, there are no people waiting," Wrong.
I take it you didn't watch yesterday's hearing with 6 people who have been abused by the IRS and some are STILL.

To include the man whose organizations donors list was given by the IRS to his political opponents.

Don't you think if he ONLY visited the WH "few" times he would have said so?

His response was in line with every one of his other answers, "I don't know".
