But actually they were advised. Even the Russians warned them. No different than warning about pilot training by FBNI agent or the shooter in the last shooting having made threats to do just what he did. Its just that nothing was done as far as being effect to so called protect the public. We have known for a long time that the church commission basically destroyed our human intelligence gathering which was clearly shown with the WMDs in Irag problems. With those examples alone I fail to see how having cellphone records mean much if they do not show evidence of prep to commit attacks and not much organized terrorist can't get around it easily. Reminds me of the letter to policy warning them that veterans should be watched as highly potential terrorist when police departments are loaded with a high percentage of veterans. I think we are seeing more and more that citizens are the target rather than any terrorist in watching them for who knows what political purpose. Just increasing spying to increase funding based and not acting on what you get is useless. The same could be applied to street crime that threatens use everyday but no one wants that.
That's a main reason why this is so ridiculous.
All the warnings and foreknowledge on top of the snooping was lacking in results in a most pitiful way.
The incompetent and misguided still think we should trust them though.

The flight in 2001 departed from Paris for Miami. Back then no airport checked passenger's shoes. They still do not do so in the EU or most non U.S. domestic airports for that matter.

I do not think that addresses my question. He is on a list of NSA successes. How did the NSA succeed here?

And with that, Ms. Palin knows more than the NSA, IRS, DOJ, State, and their collective Superiors about what's going on and who's in charge. And if the media is paying attention to her then they're finally doing their jobs. To which we are now all observers.
