Out of curiosity, how many of you people who accuse liberals of wanting to ban "hate speech" think we should ban Islam because of what some imams preach?

Any such challenge would fail on First Amendment grounds.

So what's your point?

And how do you square your supposed First Amendment absolutism with your belief, as expressed in another thread, that it should be illegal for anyone to say "I am gay"?

Apparently, there is a great deal of misunderstanding and confusion as to what hate speech really is. Calling someone a name isn't hate speech.
