Yes, they want the OPTION - and their CHOICE was to have that baby. I want the OPTION to drink vodka too, even though I can't personally stand the stuff. Do you only want the freedom to do things you actually plan on doing? If so, you have a very self-centered and narrow view of the world.

I'm pro-choice myself, and would probably never have an abortion (especially now that I'm an established adult). I also know how to protect myself, since my parents weren't religious zealots or prudes, so luckily for all of us I've never been faced with an unplanned pregnancy. But even though it's highly unlikely I'd have chosen to abort, I would still appreciate having the CHOICE to make that decision for myself. You obviously don't know these words, which is why I'm putting them in capital letters.

Haha... it's like when people declare "your stupid!" I am a proud card-carrying member of the spelling/grammar police, but only call out the folks who do stuff like that. If you're going to imply somebody else is dumb, you might want to check your own spelling & grammar first.

The trifecta.

Anti-choice, anti-gay and anti-woman.

It's always easy to tell who's upset they no longer have the power to tell women to stay home. "There's a good girl." Or gays to stay in the closet. "Go away. We don't want to know you exist".

These kids parents did have it their way. They wanted their kids and had their kids. People arent protesting so that other people will have more abortions, people are protesting for a womans right to choose.
Anyone who does not want to have a child can choose any birth control method they want to. Only a barbarian would choose to have murder as their choice of birth control. Do people who go around saying that a woman has a right to choose to murder their child not realize how uncivilized that sounds?

So you strongly assume everyone who opposes banning abortion always abort their pregnancies?

Oy! Let nature take its course?. You mean like all those knocked-up teenagers who were only taught abstinence in school?
How about if you get sick? You discover a lump in your testicle. Oh, don't worry about it! Nature will take care of that for ya!

If that were really true, approximately half of us (myself included) wouldn't exist today. My mother is VERY pro-choice, and has three healthy living children - she even waited until marriage to have sex, and never considered aborting any of us.

You're a religious man. Did you indoctrinate your kids to believe in God, or did you let nature take its course whereby some deity comes along and whacks one of then upside the head with a thunderbolt?

I love when people claim "indoctrination" if a child is present at anything political or socially-conscious in nature... but I'd bet dollars to donuts those same folks drag their kids to church every Sunday.

Fact of the matter is, EVERY SINGLE PARENT "indoctrinates" their children to some degree - whether it's political beliefs, religion, cultural, or whatever. Where do you think we learn our beliefs? Not everyone will follow the things they're taught as children, for instance a Christian-raised child might eventually become an Atheist. But our very FIRST ideas are usually from our parents, whether they intend to give us "free will" or not. Even the most careful of parents, who try their hardest to let the kids find their own paths, will unintentionally pass their beliefs along to their offspring.

And what's wrong with that? We aren't all meant to have the same feelings or thoughts, and just because you/I might not agree with how they're raised, it's really neither good nor bad as long as no actual abuse is occurring. I wouldn't teach my children about Jesus or encourage them to be pro-life, but if another parent does, I have absolutely zero issues with that. Diversity is what makes this world interesting, no?
