According to the tea party fiscal hawks, all liberals want to do is tax and spend other people's money. The tea party came to washington to cut spending, yet the sequester doesn't touch Medicare(largest driver of our debt), Medicaid, and social security. Help me out here, you appeal Obamacare 37-40 times, even though you know its DOA in the Senate, yet since 2011, I haven't seen you Medicare reform or Social security reform 37 times. Why is that?

Because baby boomers are the largest voting block in this nation, and they turn out more than any other group. It is political suicide to go against baby boomers.

As soon as someone says anything about Medicare or social security people come out in droves talking about how you want to kill seniors and you are trying to push them off a cliff.

The House has passed bills to reform Medicare.

House Passes Paul Ryan Budget, Would Reform Medicare - ABC News

The GOP has taken the position that reform of S.S. will be a loser at the polls right now. Sadly far too many of them are still more interested in what is good for the party and not the country.

You will see many attempts to defeat many of these politicians continue. "The Tea Party" doesn't control anything.

Because the big government GOP establishment which is not part of the "Tea Party" still holds a majority.

ok, that is 1 time. Where are the other 36 times? Where the comments from tea party republicans about medicare and social security reform? Why did they allow the sequester to exempt medicare, medicaid, and social security. My whole point is, Republicans are waging a war on Obamacare, but I hear nothing about entitlement reform with our biggest drivers of debt.

Thats weird, because baby boomers are also the people who put the republicans in congress, they want the tea party to cut spending, we can't touch medicare or social security. Doesn't that sound like being a hypocrite?

what reforms? There hasn't been a lift in the cap on payroll taxes. Eligibility age hasn't change, changing to chain cpi is the only thing that was put in the president's budget, but even paul ryan left that alone in his, and there is no mention of means-testing. What reforms have happened since 2011?
