It appears the land of enchantment, where businesses can run free with zero government oversight, is having a negative effect on the people who live there.

well lets see. THis is the first death in a rollercoaster in something like 25 years.

rollercoasters are not federally regulated.

multiple babies die every year in strollers. Strollers are federally regulated.

Yeah, she should have taken more responsibility in learning how to fly!

How smart does one have to be to follow instructions given by someone else?

A business owner issues their own instructions, and has to be self motivated enough to follow through, otherwise they don't eat ramen that night.

Can Ramen noodles be eaten right out of the box?

At some theme parks, there are workers present to assist people in putting on restraints to prevent such accidents from happening, maybe the investigation will find the operator of the ride at fault.

Actually they can, although Harrier's ramen noodles usually come in a bag.

They are quite good uncooked.

And the relevance of your post to the discussion is ....?

Actually there is about a death every few years. I can think of a few in the last decade. The issue is they are not all the same. Federal regulations will not do much to prevent the issues. The local OSHAs visit the rides regularly and the ride gets inspected at least daily. Some issues that happen when these rides fail are preventable, some are acts of god and some are rider error.

To me, I want to know whydoes Texas Giant not have seatbelts currently? Seatbelts can fail to a point (mostly rider error such as making the belt loose or undoing it) but they act as a fail safe to issues with the lapbar like what happened here.

If that is what you think, then Harrier suggests that you follow the thread more closely.

My Bet: Operator error

The woman was too large for the ride. The Operator let her on even though she was to large. The size of the rider caused a failure, which resulted in the riders demise.

Now I sit and patiently wait for photo shopped photos of people riding the ride, with a womans legs flying offscreen
