Liberals are happiest when they're controlling the thoughts of the general population. Oh, and they're happiest when they're also passing the responsibility buck onto someone else.
Conservative are not trying to change stuff all the time, unless it is back to the way it was.
Progressives complain all the time and then want to tell everyone else how they should live.

In response to Patton, both liberals and conservatives fight over controlling the way Americans think. I think it's naive for either side to believe that their side is the more "moral/right" side. Both sides have good and bad aspects.
Rich people are happier. It doesn't matter from which party.
