Just heard on the radio that London is experiencing excrutiatingly hot weather, but people are standing outside the hospital waiting for the so called "Royal Baby" to pop out. Why do they think that any baby is any more royal than any other? Why do they revere these people that have the same bodily fluids running thru their anatomy as everyone else. This entire "Royal Family" nonsense just strikes me as so bizarre in this day and age. Just as ridiculous as Hollywood star worship...maybe even more so. Does the royal afterbirth hold magical powers? What a crock!

If the child is born today, or before midnight tomorrow, the child will be born under the astrological sign of Cancer, which is not what they really wanted.

The 12 Signs of the Zodiac: Cancer

They wanted the baby to be a Leo.

Are they astrology enthusiasts? Because if they are, they would understand that the rising sign and the houses play major roles in a chart. In fact, in Vedic astrology, the rising sign (Ascendant) is way more important than the sun sign. If they desire Leo influences within the chart, it can be felt more thru the placement of the moon in Leo at birth.

I have no idea of what this kid will be, but nevetheless, I just find it weird that "Royal" families hold so much importance in this day and age.

No different than our media following the Obamas on their Martha's Vineyard trip. Oh boy he's riding a bike in his mom jeans....so cool, lol.

Clearly, my interest is more curiosity as to why the Brits revere a so called Royal Family. Why do you find this a quesionable topic of discussion?

Because this nonsense bombards even those of us who try to avoid it. This is most evident in news coverage. I cannot always be close to NPR or the BBC. More news coverage of this nonsense crowds out stuff that actually matters and that should concern any sensible person.
