Either you rule yourself and command your own life- or you give up your autonomy to the church or state. I don't get it- why people in general think marriage is some sort of wonderful liberating institution when it is not- especially when it goes bad.

Sexual hormones and the brain: an essential alliance for sexual identity and sexual orientation (2010)

The fetal brain develops during the intrauterine period in the male direction through a direct action of testosterone on the developing nerve cells, or in the female direction through the absence of this hormone surge. In this way, our gender identity (the conviction of belonging to the male or female gender) and sexual orientation are programmed or organized into our brain structures when we are still in the womb.

There is no indication that social environment after birth has an effect on gender identity or sexual orientation.

"Epigenetics – how gene expression is regulated by temporary switches, called epi-marks – appears to be a critical and overlooked factor contributing to the long-standing puzzle of why homosexuality occurs". In the current study, researchers... integrated evolutionary theory with recent advances in the molecular regulation of gene expression and androgen-dependent sexual development to produce a biological and mathematical model that delineates the role of epigenetics in homosexuality" (2012)

I only educate myself with real science.

When you get past your simplistic 1 + 1 = 2 ideas of 'science', let us know.

This is what you call a 'real science' answer? LOL!

When you have some studies that have passed the scientific method, have some actual falsifiable theories to reference them against and when they aren't rubber stamped by the fad community...

Let me know

Yes, perception DOESN'T happen in the brain first. And I know why you want to laugh at this answer....because it throws a monkey wrench in your fMRI and PET dogma.

You simply cannot present IDENTICAL stimuli to the brain....it is impossible to duplicate the stimuli with the SAME exact lighting and refraction that the eye is seeing. There are simply too many variables.

A.K.A perception happens in the ENVIRONMENT FIRST.

If you can refute that...please do.

And this is the absolute MINIMUM as to why fMRI results are very subjective.

They want marriage? GREAT!!! As long as they are also subject to all the legal BS (I.E. alimony entitlements etc.) that come with the marriage when things don't go as planned. Then I'm all for it.

You can lead a bigot to evidence based information but you can't make him read it.
