Should the U.S. government mandate 5 weeks unpaid vacation for full time workers'?

In most of Europe, this is paid, but now we are asking for unpaid since many people were against it being paid unfortunately.

America is the only western nation in the world where there is no law mandating any paid/unpaid days off from work. Employers are legally allowed to let you work 365 days a year! Thought slavery ended?

What in the world gets into people's heads, that they feel all employer/employee relations must be handled via government mandates?

Do you ever stop to wonder WHY this would be flatly unconstitutional? No curiosity WHY the Framers decided it was such a bad idea, it should be forbidden by the highest law of the land?

"Let" is the key word here. The employee has the choice.

No, the gub-ment should keep its beak out of which benefits private businesses choose to give to their employees.

If I was mandated to give "full-time" workers 5 weeks off... I just have 2 "part-time" workers instead... I think in Europe, you can't fire your employee either... so there's the rub...
