call me when an electric car can go 350 to 400 miles on a charge, then when depleted, recharge in 5 to 10 minutes.

Oh and when batteries dont need to be replaced at a cost of $10K every few years...

The problem with the batteries even if they only cost $4-5K is who wants to invest $4-5K in a car that has 100K plus mile on it? When these car batteries start failing there is going to be a lot of these cars on the used market in need of a battery driving their value down even further.

They are now totally rebuildable. One will be able to do it themselves for the price of a used transmission. Rebuilt by a professional $1900. Those prices are likely going to come down.

A 6 speed automatic transmission will cost someone this much.

Those will not be found in the junk yard. They'll be at a premium and pulled for resale/rebuild.

LOL

all idiot who think the govt WANTS an alternative energy source,
please hold your suppy cup over your head.

interesting, they are all liberals...

do some research, look @ how much $$ in taxes the govt. makes on evil energy.
also, keep in mind, shell, chevron, exxon, etc.. ALL are working on alternative energy. they have way more $$ for this exercise than anyone else on the planet.

do liberals actually believe the govt is going to develop something better than fuel oil ?

Im sitting here giddy over the thought of liberal's tiny brain exploding in their big ol' noggen thinking abour BP/shell/chevron owning the replacement for fuel oil
