Just another case of society spoiling black people.

Also, this mom lost custody of her other kids and has a lot of problems, mental and drug wise. So she's no mom of the year. Not that that means she killed her child, but this plus the other suff makes her look very suspect.
as soon as I heard I had my doubts. I know some kids get high and do stupid things but trying to rob a poor white woman and shooting a baby in a stroller makes no sense. I'm not saying it isn't possible but the chances are highly unlikely.

How do you explain away the sister, mom and aunt all being arrested and charged with perjury and aiding and abetting and obstruction of justice ? They lied about his whereabouts and lied about getting rid of the gun. And the city commissioner got arrested for obstruction of justice for telling the 17 year old not to talk.

The police have the gun.

Police have a gun. AFAIK, no evidence if it's matched to the bullets.

Ok that's true enough. What about the sister, aunt and mother all being arrested ? What's your take on that ?

I suspect he had an unregistered gun (not registered to him), may have been up to no good in the past, his relatives thought they were helping by hiding the gun, ... but it doesn't mean he's guilty of this crime. Zimmerman and his wife lying and hiding assets didn't make him guilty of murder.

If the bullets from the found gun didn't match then you would think they would have dropped the case or allowed him bail. They have no case without that gun as there were no witnesses.
If what you say is true then why are they holding him with no bail ?
There must have been strong enough evidence presented for the judge to do that.

My take on this as anyone with a brain in their head. Is what most of us are already thinking but afraid to say.

Some family members are a persons own worse enemy, by trying to deny truth and facts of a situation.
They say so often you are what your family are. And in many cases, the family is the problem to begin with.

The witness is Sherry West who made a positive ID. I don't have a dog in this fight and haven't followed it closely enough - but it seems it's not a slam dunk.
AFAIK the only evidence is Sherry West's account - no physical evidence. West's older daughter says her Mom has given conflicting stories and the next day asked about how quickly she could get insurance money. Her husband is a convicted felon, had gun residue on him, and has conflicting alibis.

Her older son was killed when he attacked someone with a knife - only relevant in that it reflects on her parenting. Plus she married a felon. As C-J said:

Well besides her. All they have is her story and a gun.
I haven't read of their stories though.
Just the grandma of the 15 year old saying he was just an innocent bystander.
He was a truant because he was skipping school. The police used school attendance records to find him.
